Bringing Mount Old Scholars together across the World to share memories and news.
MOSA is looking for new Committee members from May this year and would like to hear from anyone prepared to give a small amount of time to help the Old Scholar community. You do not need any specific skills or experience (although some book-keeping/accounting would be useful for the Treasurer’s role) and the existing members of the Committee will provide you with ‘training’ and on-going support. Normally, Committee membership involves up to three half days a year for meetings and a few hours between meetings for liaising within the Committee and/or with the Alumnae Officer.
The arrangements for Reunion Weekend 2017 have now been confirmed and the programme is ready for you to download here.
The Reunion Supper is being held once again at the De Grey Rooms in York. Tickets are limited so do book early.
We look forward to seeing you then.
Reunion Weekend will be on 12-14 May 2017. We would like to see lots of year groups return. In particular, there is a large group of leavers from 1967 (50 years) gathering from Bootham and it would be great if The Mount also did the same. If you are thinking about a "special" gathering, do get in touch with Hannah Roberton, our Alumnae Officer, who will be glad to help with putting you in touch with others from your year
As previously stated, changes have been made to the MOSA Committee as agreed at the AGM. Since that time, Hannah Roberton has taken up her post as Alumnae Officer, working 16 hours a week in school. This means that many of the administrative tasks have been lifted from the Steering Committee and, as Hannah is in school, there is a much closer working relationship being forged.
The Reunion Weekend is nearly upon us. We are hoping that many of you will be coming to York to meet old friends and re-visit The Mount. Bookings for supper at the De Grey Rooms on Saturday evening are no longer being taken as we have reached capacity. We are sorry to disappoint but are delighted that this new idea has been so popular.
Don't forget there will be a gathering at Ye Olde Starre Inne, Stonegate on Friday from 9.00 pm, The AGM, tours of the school and tea and cakes will be taking place at The Mount during the day on Saturday and Meeting for Worship will be held in the Main Hall on Sunday 8 May.
We look forward to meeting many of you.
