Bringing Mount Old Scholars together across the World to share memories and news.
At the MOSA AGM on Saturday, changes were made to the MOSA Committee:
Jackie (Foulds) Taylor has now stepped down at the end of her term of office as Chair. We are very grateful to her for her hard work over a difficult period in MOSA's history. She has managed some difficult meetings during the course of her chairmanship and will be continuing as the MOSA Representative on the Foundation Committee. This photograph is of Jackie with Caroline, the Head Girl, at the AGM.
A Steering Committee has been put in place (Susan Croft, Judith (Wragge) Campbell and Sue (Nicol) Lakie). This Committee will jointly support the new Alumnae Officer and will also start to put together a new constitution for approval by the General Committee which remains in place until the new constitution has been approved at the next AGM.
The Mount School Foundation is ready to go and just waiting for some legal issues to be agreed before its launch. More news about this will be published in due course.
Many changes are afoot but we hope that MOSA will continue keeping Old Scholars in touch for a long time to come.
The Reunion Weekend was a great success. Not only was the weather brilliant which made the school look amazing, but several year groups, 1976 and 1986 in particular renewed friendships and exchanged life stories whilst wondering where the time had gone. There were shrieks of delight as they all got together and actually recognised each other - they hadn't changed a bit really!
Changes for the MOSA Committee were announced at the AGM with an alumnae officer soon to be appointed and a scaled down Steering Committee to manage the affairs whilst still linking into the General Committee, pending the writing of a new constitution for MOSA.
Adrienne Richmond, the new Principal, enjoyed meeting so many Old Scholars and we were equally delighted to meet her. We wish the school well under her leadership.
The new venue on Saturday evening seemed to go down well and was very well attended, particularly by Bootham OS. We will be using this venue again in 2017 and returning to the Race Course in 2018 for a gala dinner.

Ella Kidd attended The Mount from 1970-1975 and sadly passed away on Saturday 25 July 2015. Her friends from school have put together a collection of memories of a person who was funny, creative, warm and vibrant. She ran a successful theatrical millinary and costume design service in Norwich for more than 30 years and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
